Matomo connector for Creatio allows you to collect detailed reports on your website and its visitors, including the search engines and keywords they used, the language they speak, which pages they like, the files they download and so much more. This information can be used to improve user experience through site personalization and website optimization.
Contact information received from the Matomo web analytics tool can be used for:
customer experience analysis, for example you can determine the most visited pages and how long a user stayed on the page as well as many other metrics;
predictive analytics can consume data to better predict user’s interest in a product or service;
detailed reports and analysis of the effectiveness of various marketing campaigns, by channels, regions, and other metrics;
site optimization based on the most frequently used devices and platforms to access the resource.

Starting from Creatio 7.18.3 version, a unified process is used for finding and creating a contact when working with a landing page. A new “Searching and creating contact” process must be used.

Setup of Matomo connector for Creatio consists of two parts:
Set up Matomo solution of your choice (Matomo Cloud or Matomo On-Premise)
Obtain authentication token (Administration / Personal / Security / Auth tokens)
Install Matomo connector for Creatio.
Configure system settings located in “Matomo Connection Settings” folder.
Populate the Matomo API service address settings by specifying the Matomo address for your site. Sign in to Matomo service. Copy the value from the address bar of your browser. The address must end with <<.matomo.cloud/>>
Populate the API key of the Matomo service with Auth token received on Matomo side.
After completing the above steps, autogenerated code found in “Landings and Web Forms” is updated with Matomo component. Simply paste the autogenerated code to any landing page.
